A body in motion stays in motion.
I’ve been thinking about this a lot.
I’ve noticed that when I spend too long in the same position—whether I’m tapping on my keyboard on deadline or reading a novel on a lazy Sunday—I’m less inclined to do anything else. What’s more, I feel pretty crabby.
So it was a timely reminder when Boston Globe correspondents also echoed Newton’s law as they wrote about the Healthy Heart Trails program launched by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation. The department has named more than 70 Healthy Heart Trails throughout Massachusetts.
Although I don’t live in Massachusetts, I was inspired by this article. It reminded me that I need to get moving more often and search for new territory. I usually walk in a neighborhood or on a treadmill, but if I get bored with my routine I’m more likely to talk myself out of walking. This article made me want to lace up my sneakers and explore. It doesn’t really matter where, we just need to keep moving.

So true. There are so many lovely places. It would be great to see some new sites. That would help keep me motivated.
Me too!
